About me…

Academic Background

I hold a Master’s degree from Columbia University and a doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania. As a clinical social worker, I take a holistic, biopsychosocial approach, considering all facets of a person’s life—biological, psychological, and social—to foster comprehensive well-being. My expertise is deepened by advanced training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and EMDR Level I.

Therapeutic Approach

My practice is rooted in attachment theory and relational therapy, grounded in the belief that healing from trauma happens through meaningful connection. My role is to truly see you, creating a safe space where you feel deeply understood and valued. This transformative therapeutic relationship is the heart of my work, often leading to profound change for my clients. I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) for its powerful ability to unlock inner healing and collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure holistic care.

Professional Journey

With over 15 years as a clinical social worker, I’ve worked across diverse settings, from psychiatric hospitals in Connecticut and New York to the Renfrew Center for Eating Disorders. I also founded an Intensive Outpatient Treatment Center, blending therapy and embodied practices for a whole-person approach. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the full spectrum of mental health, which I now bring to my private practice.

Real Talk

I have experienced the power of good therapy and I share that because it is an experience that I draw on professionally all the time. I know what good therapy feels like, and I know what blah therapy feels like. I know what it feels like to crave emotional relief, to feel vulnerable in the therapeutic space, to work between sessions, and to evolve.

In terms of my personality, I am intuitive, kind, a bit goofy, and confident in my craft. I connect easily with people of all ages, and I only work with clients where there’s genuine chemistry—it’s essential for meaningful work. My goal is to make therapy feel authentic, impactful, and fun. I want our sessions to be meaningful and leave you thinking in the space between our meetings.
